About Singapore Oceanarium:
The Singapore Oceanarium, located at Resorts World Sentosa, reopens on 24 July 2025 following a major transformation. Expanded to three times its original size, it now comprises 22 thematic zones that span across geological time and global marine environments. The layout follows a structured narrative—from the mangroves and coastal ecosystems of Singapore to prehistoric oceans and the evolutionary transition from sea to land.
A prominent feature is the Open Ocean habitat with a 36-metre-wide viewing panel. It presents an expansive display of marine life, including reef manta rays, zebra sharks, and shoals of reef fish. The Ocean Wonders exhibit, housing moon jellies in a kreisel tank, offers a controlled setting to observe their rhythmic movement. Other zones such as Whale Fall and Sea Mount simulate deep-sea environments rarely seen in public aquariums. Hallway of Hope, an exhibit on conservation, uses documentary-style storytelling to portray restoration efforts and species recovery.
The experience is supported by the Research and Learning Centre, a zero-energy facility certified with the Green Mark Platinum. It contains laboratories, seminar halls, and event spaces. Developed in partnership with local academic institutions, this facility strengthens the Oceanarium’s focus on education, research, and marine sustainability within a public exhibition framework.
